- 夜と海。美しい静寂へピアノを奏でる -
「静寂に敬意を持った音楽を作りたい」と語る横山起朗の
2019年にリリースされた2nd アルバム 「SHE WAS THE SEA」は、
一度耳にすれば記憶に残る旋律と、ピアノの美しい残響が心奥に届く
彼の代表作となった。
初版は早々に完売となり増刷の希望も多かった本作「SHE WAS THE SEA」
今回デザインも新たに、未収録曲(breeze)と共に新たに追加録音曲(close)を収録したリマスター版が発売。
本作は2017年にポーランド・ビドゴジュチのホールにて、
レコーディングされた。会場内の照明を極限まで落とし、
ゆっくりとピアノに向き合い作曲と即興曲を交えた。
今回、アルバム制作時に作曲のためワルシャワで使用していた
ピアノを用いて close を新たに追加収録を行った。
またマスタリングはnuunで共に活動する盟友のsoramiが全曲担当した。
初心の傑作、待望のリリース。

- Night and sea. Playing piano in beautiful silence -
"I want to create music that respects silence," says Kio Yokoyama.
His second album, "SHE WAS THE SEA," released in 2019, has become his signature work,
with unforgettable melodies and beautiful piano reverberations that reach deep into the heart.
The first edition of "SHE WAS THE SEA" quickly sold out, and there was much demand for a reprint.
This time, a remastered version with a new design and featuring a previously unreleased track (breeze) as well as newly recorded tracks (close) is now available.
This album was recorded in 2017 in a hall in Bydgorzowcz, Poland. The lights in the venue were dimmed to their lowest setting,
and the musicians sat at the piano, mixing compositions and improvisations.
This time, a new song, "close," was recorded using the piano that they had used in Warsaw to compose the album.
All tracks were mastered by Soramii, a close friend and colleague of mine in nuun.
A long-awaited release of a masterpiece from a beginner.
